Since we are inquiring into Matariki we have been making links between matariki and the solar system
And space in general.
This week we looked at the 8 phases of the moon and found out some interesting facts. To help us better understand the phases of the moon and what each phase looks like, we worked with a buddy to carve cookie cream into the shape of each phase of the moon and then we got to EAT the cookies!!! Yum!
We were so good at working together and taking turns. I just love the way room 3 work so well together

Brooke has really loved all the Matariki things you have been doing lately! … we went out at night and could see mars really easily, after she had been to the planetarium and found out all about it!
